MRCB-Quill REIT (“MQREIT”) is a Real Estate Investment Trust (“REIT”) listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) on 8 January 2007 as Quill Capita Trust. It subsequently changed its name to MQREIT on 14 April 2015. MQREIT is formed to acquire and invest in commercial properties primarily in Malaysia, with a view to provide MQREIT unitholders (“unitholders”) with long term and sustainable distribution of income and potential capital growth.

MQREIT will provide its unitholders a unique opportunity to participate in the growth of commercial property market in Malaysia. For MQREIT's purpose, commercial properties include properties used or predominents used for commercial purpose.

The initial portfolio of commercial properties acquired by MQREIT comprises built-to-suit office buildings, data processing centres and business park properties. Majority of the key tenants have committed to initial lease term of five years or more, with agreed step-up rentals.

On 3 September 2007, MQREIT completed the placement exercise of up to 151,440,000 new units in MQREIT and the acquisitions of Wisma TechnipFMC and part of Plaza Mont' Kiara.

In the first quarter of 2008, MQREIT acquired another three properties in the Klang Valley and Cyberjaya namely Quill Building 5, Quill Building 8 - DHL (XPJ) and Quill Building 10 - HSBC (Section 13) for a total purchase consideration of RM94.5 million. Tesco Penang was acquired by MQREIT in November 2008.

In March 2015, MQREIT completed the acquisition of Platinum Sentral which was part funded through a placement exercise of 65,000,000 new units in MQREIT. On 22 December 2016, MQREIT completed the acquisition of Menara Shell, bringing the total number of properties in MQREIT’s portfolio to 11. In tandem with the Menara Shell acquisition, MQREIT completed a placement exercise of 406,619,000 new units in MQREIT which resulted in the increase in the total MQREIT units in circulation to 1,068,000,000 MQREIT units.

MQREIT is managed by MRCB Quill Management Sdn Bhd which has three shareholder, namely, Quill Resources Holding Sdn Bhd ("QRH"), a company within the Quill Group of Companies, Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd ("MRCB") and Global Jejaka Sdn Bhd ("GJSB").
